FAQ:
Q: Can we order Punks embroidery through Generative Goods?
A: Unfortunately no, our embroidry process is geared towards our flagship projects which all use the same 15 thread colors. Our intention is not to commercialize this only to offer a public good for Punks to be able to get super high quality embroidery made of their Punks at their local embroidery shop (or hand made with the cross-stitch version).
Q: What is a DST file?
A: DST (Data Stitch Tajima) is a common embroidery machine file format that contains stitch commands for automated embroidery machines.
Q: What is a RunSheet?
A: The RunSheet provides a visual guide for the embroidery process, detailing color layers, stitch counts, and thread color suggestions.
Q: What is a Cross-Stitch file?
A: This output provides a pattern suitable for manual cross-stitching, allowing you to recreate the Punk by hand.
Q: Why is Pixel Size ignored for Cross-Stitch?
A: Cross-stitch patterns are typically 1:1 with the Punk's pixels. The 'Pixel Size' input primarily affects the density and scale for machine embroidery formats.
Q: Do I have to use the suggested colors?
A: No! these are just a suggestion based on commonly available embroidery thread colors. You can use any colors you like!
